Solar gridlink systems operate by directly supplying mains quality power back into the electricity grid providing extra power for peak demands occurring during the day light hours such as air conditioning etc.
The raw solar energy is collected and turned to DC electricity via the solar modules this DC is then converted to mains power AC 240 volt by an inverter especially designed for this purpose.
Energy provided to the grid is then credited to your account to offset and to reach "energy neutral" or break even is an achievable environmental goal.
The only drawback is that currently during blackout periods during daylight hours your inverter must shutdown. (For safety of workers on mains power lines nearby).
